On 16th August 2016, the students of STD VI accompanied by teachers visited the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, also popularly known as the Prince of Wales Museum .The museum collection comprises of approximately 50,000 artefacts.
The students were astounded by the Indus Valley civilization artefacts and other relics from ancient Indian. The museum also gives information on the great variety of animals like the stags, whales, snakes, lions and fish that lived in the Stone Age period.
The museum displays collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain, ivory and jade artefacts . Special sections are dedicated to arms and armour , coins , paintings , Himalayan culture,etc .
Special orientations were conducted giving information about the museum and animal taxonomy.
