The Diamond Jubilee Year celebration drew to a close on Saturday 13th July, 2013. A year of “Reaching Out” was celebrated and students, parents, teachers and Staff were exhorted to continue living the vision of this year.

The evening’s function was presided over by Bishop Agnelo Gracias. It began with a solemn prayer service with readings from The Holy Bible, The Bhagwad Gita and The Holy Quran.


Following the prayer service, Principal Sr. Pearl-Anne welcomed the dignitaries and attendees and shared her personal experiences over the last year. Following this, Bishop Agnelo Gracias in his speech highlighted the reasons why parents choose Apostolic Carmel High School and Junior College as the institution to which they entrust their daughter’s education. He stressed the need of a value based education over mere academic success. The release of the School Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Magazine followed.

A new address for the school was unveiled at The website now extends the reach of the school to its students, alumni and interested persons globally.


Highlighting the various Outreach Programs undertaken as part of the Diamond Jubilee Year, a musical was orchestrated by Joey Mendonca. Students from KG through to Junior College participated in various skits and dance routines. The students expressed the impact that “Reaching Out” had on them personally and on their families with a resolve to continue living the message.


Fr. Joe Pereira expressed his deep appreciation of the work done by the school through the “Reaching Out” activities. Teacher Zelda Ferreira who has completed 25 years of service with Apostolic Carmel Primary School gave the Vote of Thanks.
