Apostolic Carmel Junior College celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2019. The session was conducted by Tr. Rita Fernandes  and Tr. Ankita Shukla. The session began with a Powerpoint presentation highlighting the benefits of yoga. After that the yoga session was divided into four phases namely Warm up, Standing asanas, Sitting asanas and Breathing exercises.

The Warm up session began with Jogging and Twisting. The warm up session was followed by Standing asanas which included Suryanamaskar, Sarvangasana, Vrikshasana, Natrajasana, Garudasana. The Session continued with Sitting asanas which included Vajrasana, Chakrasana, Balasana, Makarasana, Bhujangasana, Gomukhasana. The Final phase comprised of breathing exercises which included Pranayam-Nadi Shodhan followed by Pranayam- Kapalbhati.

All the 12th  std students along with the teachers actively participated in this yoga session making it an effective activity.
