A pilgrimage to the Mount was organized by the A.B.E ( Archdiocesan Board of Education) on the 14th of September 2017. Schools from all across Mumbai were invited for this event. 23 schools took part in this spiritual experience.

All the participant schools assembled on the grounds of Apostolic Carmel High School, Bandra  (W) at 9 a.m. Thereafter, the walking pilgrimage to the Mount began at 9:30a.m. While walking, the rosary was recited and hymns were sung to Our Lady. The students, sisters, teachers and parents took part whole heartedly  in the pilgrimage.

Proper security arrangements had been made and the traffic was monitored smoothly to ensure that there was no hindrance to the pilgrims.

The mass at the Mount began at 9:30a.m. The main celebrant was Cardinal Oswald Gracious. There were a few other concelebrant priests who joined him for the celebration. Seating arrangements for the pilgrims had been taken care of by the A.B.E. The mass ended at 11:20a.m.

The A.B.E provided all the participant schools with snack boxes before they left in their respective buses that were parked at Bandstand.

The main purpose of  this pilgrimage was to gather together as a united whole to pray to Our Blessed Mother and thank her for all the graces and favours received through her intercession all through the year.

The overall experience was an enriching one.
